Artist's Description

This marker rendering depicts two children playing under a tree in blossom during springtime. The inspiration came from a tree outside the George Eastman house that happened to be in full bloom with white blossoms creating a stark contrast with the dark bark.

About Franklin Kielar

Franklin Kielar

The artwork by Franklin depict abstract images rooted in visual storytelling. He developed his skills to sketch characters, concepts, and storyboards; while getting his Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Animation at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. That schooling led to his abstract and surreal black and white artwork. With influences such as Walt Disney and Jim Henson, he focused on great stories and artistic skills for film and animation. For ten years he worked on independent film productions; many of which received awards such as the short film "Hope;" and feature film "Ink and Steel." Franklin continues to work on his artwork and films in Upstate New York; where he frequently attends art shows and events.
